ARNO builds new logistics centre
Presentation systems manufacturer invests four million EUR - official construction begin yesterday.

Wolfschlugen. The developer and manufacturer of shop in shop and retail interior systems, ARNO, is adding a new logistics centre onto its headquarters in the Wolfschlugen industrial estate. Yesterday was the official start for the four million EUR project with completion expected in September.

An 8.600 square metre storehouse and picking hall adjoins the present production area. Around 6.500 square metres offers space for about 7.000 pallets as well as sufficient room for assembly and sorting of production components before shipment to customers. According to company CEO, Frank Arnholdt, the undertaking of this new building is expected to primarily reduce transport and storage costs. Also it is a reaction to customer expected fast delivery capability.
ARNO caters to international brands and commercial enterprises, predominantly in Europe but also in the USA and Asia. The key sectors are telecommunications, cosmetics, the automobile sector and sporting goods. The company, considered to be one of Europe’s leaders, was founded by Hermann and Elfriede Arnholdt 70 years ago. Examples include around 15.000 product presentation bars/boutiques which were delivered to stores for the cosmetic manufacturer Nivea. Mr Arnholdt tells of the full assembly, storage and punctual delivery all from Wolfschlugen. For the automobile manufacturer Lexus, ARNO furnished all dealerships Europe-wide. For the telecommunications company mobilcom, ARNO undertook the furnishing of all 280 shops in Germany.
The company service spectrum includes design engineering, prototyping and design of shop in shop and retail interior systems. Manufacture takes place in Wolfschlugen as well as at subcontractors. Final quality control takes place in Wolfschlugen.
