The ARNO company in Wolfschlugen transforms new products at retail into an event
Successful consumer goods manufacturers have to skilfully position their products and the appropriate stage setting is vital. Since 1936 ARNO in Wolfschlugen makes these product stagings succeed in a unique fashion: The company that caters for the sales success of others not only via innovation style but also through informative product presentation within the retail environment, is already in 3rd generation hands.
The list of ARNO’s international clients can hardly be more impressive: From small table presenters for Apple computers to the Nintendo Wii playstation display or the cosmetic bar from beauty giant Nivea Beauté to furbishment of European Lexus dealerships – for these and innumerable other brand names the “Point of Purchase” stems from ARNO. It is no wonder that the name of the company from Wolfschlugen is renowned. This is not only due to the continuous flow of new creative ideas from the company group with 280 employees and subsidiaries in Munich, Bristol, Athens, Madrid and Moscow. The core of the family run company success, is the strict orientation to the criteria - quality and price, as explained by Alien and Tim Arnholdt, future company directors: “Combined with creative solutions those are the decisive factors for our clients”
Quality for European-wide implemented sales systems is primarily secured via recourse to long proven sub suppliers and manufacture at headquarters in Wolfschlugen. The majority of the 150 employees here, process the delivered parts to the final finished ARNO products which are then despatched worldwide from the newly constructed logistics centre.
Standard product presentation display solutions, are not the height of fashion anymore when it comes to the staging of manufacturer products and services: „Of course displays without technical equipment will remain a market mainstay“ says Tim Arnholdt, „ we do however see an increasing impact of interactive and multi media systems in sales support“.
Considerable sales support know-how is needed to achieve such large successes – and ARNO, preferentially, has this in-house. Interactive information sources, in ever increasing office space, are fully technically equipped and programmed not only in the in-house design department, run by Heike Arnholdt, but also in the subsidiary company ARNO Interactive. Fantasy has no borders: “ Whatever is technically possible is implemented and the rapid development in computer technology enables ever more imposing solutions” says Tim Arnholdt.
That success in new markets, thanks to these conditions, is possible, is substantiated by the newest expansion plans of the company that was founded by Elfriede and Hermann Arnholdt as a window decoration company 71 years ago. Under the supervision of CEO Frank Arnholdt (son of Hermann Arnholdt), expansion into the USA is also planned. After the positive start of the subsidiary in Moscow this year, the success story ARNO will soon be updated with a strategic alliance in New York.
