Adidas asked us to create a display for its Adidas Originals brand that could work within 340 JD Sports stores across the country. The first thing our design team did was get underneath the skin of the brand; Adidas Originals is no ordinary sports brand. It’s a style icon. It is a blend of track and city. A balance of yesterday and today. And it is loved by young streetwise adults who want to put a statement on their feet, not a shoe.
To appeal to this fashion-conscious audience, our team designed a striking wall unit that felt like an urban locker-room. We suspended every shoe over a mirror, with under-lighting, so customers could see the intricate patterns on the soles. At the centre of the display, we placed a large LCD screen showing Adidas content via a flash drive with a tickertape digital display streaming above it. Instant engagement! To enable the display to work across the whole of the JD Sport estate, we engineered two specifications of the display with an identical design to hit budgets. The solution is easy to install and simple for store staff to relocate during peak sale seasons. Plus, it came in bang on budget.
